Our final event of the year was a fabulous Christmas lunch held at Restaurante Zé do Norte, Quarteira. There were over 60 people in attendance and even Father Christmas made an appearance. We had a prize draw, and a silent auction for a Christmas Hamper and raised a massive €415 towards the Poppy Appeal. We also had some first-time attendees who have now been recruited as full-time members and we look forward to seeing them, as well as the regulars at our next event in February. Thank you, Stephen Bland and Dawn Marie, for all the organising and thanks to all those who support RBL we have achieved so much in 2023 and look forward to an even better 2024.

On Monday 5th February 2024, there will be a Central Algarve lunch at Restaurante Casa Do Avô, Vale de Parra at 13.00 Hrs. As always, everyone is welcome – The menu looks great so please contact our Chairman, Colin Hearn for more details and to reserve your place: colinhearn998@gmail.com

As always, by promoting the RBL and the events we hold, my main objective as media representative is to encourage membership – it costs a mere €28 a year and that membership fee ensures that the Royal British Legion can continue to support the armed forces community. Most people have some connection with the services but everyone, without exception will have been and will continue to be protected by them - They were there for us, please be there for them. To join the RBL, please contact Phil Norley at rblportugalmembership@gmail.com
