According to forecasts released by the Automóvel Club de Portugal - ACP, the average price of diesel is expected to fall by 0.5 cents and petrol by 3 cents per litre.

"If the forecasts for next week are confirmed, the average price of simple diesel fuel should be fixed at €1.564/l while that of simple petrol 95 should be at €1.754/l", says the ACP.

"These forecasts are made based on the assumption that the extraordinary tax reduction measures applied by the government will be maintained to mitigate the increase in prices".
