According to Postal, house prices in the Algarve rose by 1.6% in the second quarter of the year. According to the idealista price index, buying a house costs 3,373 euros per square meter (euros/m2) at the end of June, taking into account the median value. In terms of monthly and annual changes, prices rose by 0.5% and 7.5%, respectively.
According to idealista, prices in the region increased in the second quarter of the year in the municipalities of Alcoutim (15.4%), Silves (6.6%), Castro Marim (5%), Lagoa (3.7%), São Brás de Alportel (3.4%), Loulé (2.1%), Faro (1.8%), Lagos (1.6%), Monchique (1.4%), Albufeira (1.2%), Portimão (1.1%) and Olhão (1%). In Tavira (0.3%), Vila Real de Santo António (0.2%), and Aljezur (0%), prices remained stable. In Vila do Bispo, prices fell by 1.8%.
The most expensive municipality to buy a house is Loulé (4,094 euros/m2), followed by Lagos (3,865 euros/m2) and Vila do Bispo (3,761 euros/m2). Next are Aljezur (3,551 euros/m2), Lagoa (3,506 euros/m2), Albufeira (3,394 euros/m2), Tavira (3,148 euros/m2), Castro Marim (3,033 euros/m2), Silves (2,995 euros/m2), Faro (2,979 euros/m2) and Vila Real de Santo António (2,856 euros/m2).
On the other hand, the most economical are Alcoutim (1,1011 euros/m2), Monchique (2,320 euros/m2), São Brás de Alportel (2,596 euros/m2), Portimão (2,611 euros/m2) and Olhão (2,848 euros/m2).
