18% of houses remained on the market between a week and a month, 26% between one and three months, 37% between three months and a year and 8% for more than a year, according to data published by idealista.
Analysing “express sales” by district capital - that is, houses that are sold in less than a week, taking as a reference point the length of time advertisements last -, it is in Faro that we find the highest percentage, since in this city 33% of houses will be traded in this short period.
Among the large cities with the highest percentage of houses sold in less than seven days are Évora (22%), Coimbra (16%), Funchal (14%), Santarém (10%) and Porto (10%). Below the national average are Setúbal (8%), Guarda (8%), Braga (8%), Castelo Branco (7%), Leiria (7%), Bragança (7%), Lisbon (7%) and Aveiro (6%).
The district capitals where fewer "express sales" were recorded are Viana do Castelo (3%), Viseu (3%) and Beja (5%), where transactions were signalled in less than seven days in September, also shows the analysis of idealista.
Who is buying all these houses?
I feel very sorry for the Portuguese
