Inês Machado Trio

Inês Pinto Machado, a Portuguese singer-songwriter, was born in Porto and studied music in Lisbon and also at the Hot Club with Prof Jozé Eduardo. Between many trips and long stays in various countries around the world, Inês has acquired emotional and artistic knowledge and experience, and her aim is to share and provide a good time with everyone who wants to be there.

On 22 September, Inês P. Machado, accompanied by Ernesto Richioso and Milton Batera, will present and a series of ‘Standard reviews’ of songs of her own composition and also by various composers such as Cole Porter, Paul McCartney, The Carpenters, George Gershwin, Henry Salvador, Irving Berlin, Cindi Lauper, Rosa Passos, Antonio Jobim, João Gilberto, Henri Betti and Nat King Cole.

The other band appearing on 8th September is the Tareja Blues Band:

The Tareja Blues Band has always played the blues since their formation and performed their music all over the Algarve for everyone’s delight. The group recreates the classic small Chicago Blues groups of the 50s, of which Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Albert King, Buddy Guys & Junior Wells are the revered symbols… Their motto: - “We seek more to make notes resonate deeply than to multiply the decibels”. Tareja is a trio consisting of: Gino on guitar & vocals, Gabriel on bass and Beppe on drums.

This is an outside evening event in the courtyard with refreshments available throughout the evening.
