In a statement, Faro City Council said that the project foresees the structural consolidation of the public building by the end of 2025, with the correction of anomalies and the conservation and restoration of several elements to counteract its degradation process.

The financing of the intervention allows the City Council to “take advantage of the opportunity to guarantee the requalification of what is one of the city's main icons for locals and for the many thousands of tourists who visit Faro every year”, the municipality indicates.
