The forecast is based on industry sources, cited by the Automóvel Clube de Portugal (ACP). Taking into account the expected increase, from Monday onwards, a litre of 95-grade petrol is expected to sell for an average of 1.692 euros, and a litre of diesel will also cost an average of 1.531 cents, based on the average daily price published by the Directorate General of Energy and Geology (DGEG).

The increase comes after a reduction in the prices of both fuels was announced last week — 2 cents for diesel and 3.5 cents for gasoline.

These values already take into account the discounts applied by gas stations and the review of temporary tax measures to help mitigate the increase in fuel prices. The tax reduction determined by the measures currently in force is 25 cents per litre of diesel and 26 cents per litre of gasoline.
