Speaking to Lusa, the captain of the port of Olhão said that the ban on Fuseta-Ria beach was lifted after analyses carried out by the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA) on a sample collected on Tuesday showed that the water was no longer contaminated by the E.coli bacteria that had led to the ban on bathing.
The situation has also returned to normal on the beach of Armação de Pera, where bathing was advised against on Tuesday due to microbiological contamination, detected in analyses carried out on samples collected on Monday, according to information released by the APA.
