Two Australian consortiums have been tasked to collect soil, ice and other samples from the Moon’s surface in a bid to gather more data on lunar dirt.

The first prototype, developed by the ELO2 consortium, was unveiled in March, and this month, the Australian Remote Operations for Space and Earth (AROSE) consortium unveiled its contender, which is equipped with a camera, solar panels and suspension.
