“The Portuguese Government is open to considering this”, said Paulo Rangel, in Brussels, within the scope of a ministerial meeting that is still ongoing.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs added that the country's openness to this possibility is limited to specific elements of Benjamin Netanyahu's Government, due to “hurtful statements” that could contribute to exacerbating the climate of tension in the Middle East.
However, for this sanctions regime to be considered, a “European consensus” on the matter is necessary, stressed Paulo Rangel.
It is high time for sanction against the fascist Israel government

Portugal is open to sanctions simply because it will do whatever its EU paymasters tell it to do. Long gone are the days of Portuguese independence in matters of state. Now it's simply a pet poodle of the Anglo-French-Germans.

European consensus or not, matters in the Middle East should be of no concern to Portugal. This is a long-running dispute that has lasted for decades, and there seems a limited prospect of any near term solution. It's none of Portugal 's business, and the sooner Portuguese politicians realise this, the better.

Stop all assistance to the Islamic terrorists Hamas immediately. Many countries have been enablers to the terrorist activities everywhere due to naivety and blindness, especially in Europe and in MENA.

Antisemitic socialism at its best.
Attack the victim for defending itself.

Hamas murdered 1200 Jews, committed horrific sexual crimes against Jewish women, continues to hold hostages, uses its own children as human shields, and vows to kill every Jew between the river and the Sea. Yes, by all means, blame everything on Israel.

Israeli state is enjoying impunity under international cover. No international law has been up held for all the humanitarian destruction it has caused. Don't know how long we will keep seeing children in bits and pieces until Israel is held accountable for it's actions. We only consider openness to options while Israeli state does not hesitate to use any kind of munition on civilian population.
