In a statement sent to Lusa, Teatro das Figuras announced that the remaining three shows of the contemporary dance festival are absolute premieres of their respective works.

On 11 September, at 9:30 pm, choreographer Mariana Serôdio will open the festival with 'Floripes', presented as "a virtual and spatial choreographic device where faceless but present women live, alive in a world so close to the audience, but so far from reality".

This is a co-production with Teatro das Figuras and the Municipality of Faro, originating from the 'Emergent' artistic creation support programme.

On September 14th, always at the same time, another premiere, 'Mana a Mana', which "explores the difficulty of communication in relationships and co-creations".

According to the synopsis, this show is the reunion point for sisters Carolina and Margarida Cantinho, who "share a creative process several years after deciding not to create together anymore".

On September 19th, it is the turn of 'Hierarquia do Medo', presented as "a unique project in the social and inclusive context".

This project is based on a process of research and action with victims of violence, with a focus on the LGBTQIA+ community.

Finally, on September 28th, the show 'Carcaça', by choreographer and performer Marco da Silva Ferreira, will take to the stage, awarded in 2023 with the Best Choreography award given by the Portuguese Society of Authors.

The show is described as "an attempt to explore Portuguese identity through the intersection of folk dances and contemporary street and disco dance".

There will be 10 performers on stage, who will "develop discourses between what they inherited and what they live".

Tickets for the festival can be purchased at the Teatro das Figuras box office, or online.

Prices range from 7.50 to 10 euros, with discounts for those over 65 and under 30.
