Of these, 109 were for speeding, 59 for lack of mandatory periodic inspection, 39 for lack or incorrect use of seat belts and/or child restraint systems, 23 for lack of civil liability insurance, 20 for improper use of a mobile phone while driving and nine related to anomalies in the lighting and signalling systems.
Last week, actions to prevent and combat violent crime, and traffic control, among others, also resulted in the arrest of 69 people – 17 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 14 for driving without a legal license, and 12 for drug trafficking – and the seizure of 545 doses of cocaine, 299 of heroin, 254 of hashish and four mobile phones.
There were also 107 accidents, resulting in one death and 22 minor injuries.
Imaging if the police start to do their job in Lisboa then these numbers will be reached in a hour!

Again another meaningless statistic. It doesn't state of those crimes of carrying/possessions of drugs (about 1000) how many people were involved. It could be one or it could be a thousand. More bad journalism I'm afraid.

How are they doing with their crackdown on bad behavior?
They have signs allover with no enforcement.
The GNR is useless.
GNR=Generally No Response
