The Draconids is an annual phenomenon that, according to NASA, is the result of debris left behind by comet 21P/Giacobini-Zinner as it wanders through the Solar System.

As reported by Space.com, this meteor shower will peak tonight and, for the best viewing conditions, look up to the sky during the early hours and find a location away from large cities - where there will be as little interference from artificial light as possible.

Although the number of meteors that can be seen may 'fluctuate', it is believed that observers will be able to see around ten meteors per hour.
