Four Portuguese teams will compete in the competition, which will take place from 14 to 19 October, with over 2,500 athletes taking part in the men's, women's and mixed categories.

“It is a source of pride that Portugal is once again the birthplace of a Beach Ultimate club competition that brings together teams and athletes from all over the world. The most extraordinary thing is that we are bringing four Portuguese teams from all over the country when the sport is still in its infancy,” said Filipa May, president of the Portuguese Ultimate and Disc Sports Association (APUDD), who said that she hopes to see the sport soon included in the National School Sports Programme, according to a report by A Bola.

The event is organised by BULA and the Portimão City Council.
