The match was for the Asian Champions League second round match between Al Nassr and Al Rayyan, which Ronaldo and Otávio's club won 2-1.

The game happened late on Monday afternoon at the Al Nassr stadium. Following their tie with Al Shorta, which cost Luís Castro his job, it was their first victory in the competition.

In the first half, Al Nassr had several opportunities to take the lead and dominate the game against André Amaro, a former player for Vitória de Guimarães from Portugal.

The most notable of these belonged to Cristiano Ronaldo, who stunned everyone by missing the goal with a header from the edge of the box. Sadio Mané did, however, manage to score during stoppage time.

Ronaldo scored in the 49th minute following the first goal, but it was negated. After receiving a ball from Ghareeb, Cristiano scored later in the 76th minute with a first-time left-foot shot.

In the latter moments of the game, Brazilian Roger Guedes even cut the score to 2-1 in the 87th minute.

Al Nassr now has four points and are provisionally in third place in the Champions League's East group. Their next match in the competition is in Iran, against Esteghlal.
