The immersive show, narrated by Jeremy Irons, celebrates the legends of Porto. Created five years ago by the OCUBO atelier and historian José Cleto, “Porto Legends – The Underground Experience” aspires to showcase the city’s history innovatively both to locals and visitors.

The award, which gives recognition to the best niche attractions in each country, was determined by public voting and announced on October 15 at the Fado do Casto Association in Lisbon.

Set in the mysterious Furnas da Alfândega do Porto, where the Immersivus Gallery Porto is located, this permanent show serves as a multidimensional portal that immerses the audience in the most famous legends of Porto and Northern Portugal.

Edoardo Canessa, the executive producer of Immersivus Gallery, expressed that the award holds special significance, as it acknowledges a project dear to them. The experience aims to deeply engage both residents and visitors with the city’s culture through its historical episodes and myths, within a building integral to its legacy.

The contributions of Joel Cleto, alongside the narration by Jeremy Irons and Pedro Abrunhosa, give this show a unique character, serving as a starting point for discovering Porto and its secrets.

The immersive experience features ten legends and myths, including “O Tesouro da Serra do Pilar”, “O Cerco do Porto e o seu Dragão”, “O Terramoto de 1755” ou “As Tripas à Moda do Porto”, offering a journey filled with enigmas and adventures.

“Porto Legends – The Underground Experience” is open from Tuesday to Sunday, with sessions at 10am, 1pm and 4pm. Tickets range from €8.50 to €11.50 and can be purchased on the website www.portugalagenda.com.
