The strike took place between 5am and 10am and, according to the Federation of Transport and Communications Unions (Fectrans), it had a participation rate of over 90%, meaning that no station was able to open to the public in the early hours of the morning.
At issue, according to Fectrans, are “successive non-compliances” by the carrier regarding payments for variable calls, that is, overtime and holidays, and in relation to the Company Agreement.
In a note sent to the Lusa agency this morning, the company says that it did everything to avoid this strike and that it "remains committed to maintaining negotiations with workers to put an end to these differences".
The partial shutdown will be repeated on December 10th, also between 5am and 10am.
Normally, the service runs between 06:30 and 01:00 on the four lines: Yellow (Rato-Odivelas), Green (Telheiras-Cais do Sodré), Blue (Reboleira-Santa Apolónia) and Red (Airport-São Sebastião).
