Reaffirming Sintra's positioning as a cultural destination of reference at an international level, the award recognises the decisive role that Parques de Sintra has played in the conservation, valorisation and dissemination of the most important heritage values that constitute the Cultural Landscape of Sintra, classified as World Heritage by UNESCO in 1995.
“As visitor feedback forms the basis of the World Luxury Travel Awards, winning this award attests to the quality of the experience of visiting the 11 parks and monuments that the company has under its care”, states Parques de Sintra, in a statement.
The 11 parks include the Pena National Park and Palace; the National Palaces of Sintra and Queluz; the Condessa d’Edla Chalet; the Castle of the Moors; the Monserrate Park and Palace; the Capuchos Convent; and the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art.
The nominees for the 146 categories of the World Luxury Travel Awards – divided into the themes “Air”, “Water”, “Land”, “Destination” and “Lifestyle” – were selected by an independent jury, whose choices are based on the evaluation carried out by visits to locations, taking into account criteria such as service excellence, attention to detail and efficiency, among many others.
The online voting phase followed, during which both tourism industry professionals and the general public chose their favourites.
The World Luxury Travel Awards were created in 2019 to distinguish companies that stand out for their excellence in the luxury travel segment and tourism industry, providing them with the international recognition they deserve.
Shame on this outlet to publish such a laughable article!
