According to the EU statistical service, in the European bloc, the percentage of renewable sources increased, in 2023, compared to 23% in the previous year and in Portugal it advanced compared to 34.6% in 2022.
Among Member States, Sweden, at 66.4%, has the highest percentage of renewable sources in final energy consumption, followed by Finland (50.8%) and Denmark (44.9%).
At the end of the table, with the lowest shares of renewable sources, are Luxembourg (11.6%), Belgium (14.7%) and Malta (15.1%).
The European Union is 18 percentage points away from reaching the target set for 2030 of 42.5% renewable sources, while the target set by Portugal is 80% by 2026.
These Eurostat statistics is conflicting with most internal news in Portugal. Quite shocking, someone is lying. The percentage is often said to be much higher.

Maybe stop wasting money on the climate scam or illegal migrants, and instead improve public services and support the local population?
