Greece’s state Budget reported a primary surplus of €8.743 billion from January to September 2024, exceeding the €5.3 billion target and last year’s €5.98 billion.

Preliminary data shows an overall budget surplus of €1.57 billion, in contrast to a projected deficit of €1.44 billion.
This reflects a significant improvement from a deficit of €397 million during the same period in 2023.
