The memorandum on the activity of the Public Prosecutor's Office in the district of Lisbon during the first six months of the year reveals that cybercrime continues to be the most registered crime, following the trend of 2020.
Last year, the district of Lisbon opened 6,100 investigations related to cybercrime.
Crimes committed by drivers on the roads are the second most recorded criminal phenomenon in the district of Lisbon until June 2021, with a total of 2146 cases, a number higher than the inquiries filed throughout 2020, when 2,111 were initiated.
The document states that the other crimes with greater expression in the district of Lisbon in the first six months of the year are related to economic and financial crime, with 879 registered inquiries, followed by drug trafficking (774), followed by organised or group crime (437) and sexual crimes against minors (431).
