The extension of this exceptional and temporary measure, which ended today, is provided for in a joint decree by the ministers of State and Finance, João Leão, and of the Environment and Climate Action, Matos Fernandes, and is published in the Diário da República.

At issue is an extraordinary and temporary reduction in the rates of the Tax on Petroleum Products (ISP), at the amount of two cents per litre of gasoline and one cent per litre of diesel, thus returning the increase in VAT revenue due to the increase of the fuel sales price.
