Just six months after arriving in Portugal, Swedish digital payment fintech Klarna has decided to open a product development centre in Lisbon.
According to idealista/news, the opening of the company's new hub in the Portuguese capital - in a location yet to be defined - is part of its strategy "to increase its international presence while fostering innovation, creating jobs and supporting local economies", said Yaron Shaer, CTO from Klarna.
Currently, the Swedish fintech already has two spaces in Lisbon and a team of 20 workers led by Alexandre Fernandes.
