According to research by holidu.pt, Albufeira, Quarteira and Portimão make up the top three destinations, followed by Vila Real de Santo António, Lagos and Tavira in fourth, fifth and sixth place, respectively. In seventh place is Olhos de Água followed, in eighth place, by Armação de Pêra. In penultimate position is Castro Marim and in the last position is Manta Rota.

Where is still available to book in the Algarve?

In order to give potential tourists an idea of ​​which places tend to sell out most quickly, so that they can make their reservations in good time, the regions with the greatest availability of accommodation were assessed by holidu.pt.

Sagres is the region in the Algarve, with the highest availability for the months of greatest demand with 34%. In second and third place are the regions of Olhão and Faro with 30% and 27% of availability, respectively. In fourth place, Portimão has 25% availability, followed by Odeceixe with 20%, Albufeira and Tavira with 19%, Vila Real de Santo António and Lagos with 17% and Castro Marim, with 16% availability.

With only 4% availability, making it very difficult to find a holiday home in the summer months, we have Praia da Luz.

The most expensive and cheapest destinations

Data from holidu.pt found that Almancil is the most expensive region in the Algarve to spend a night, with an average €552 expected during the peak months. Next comes Sagres where you can pay €271 a night and in third place is Loulé where a night costs €270.

In the regions of Carvoeiro, Ferragudo, Castro Marim, Quarteira and Faro, a night can cost up to €252, €243, €236, €227, €223 and €220, respectively. Albufeira and Aljezur finish the top 10 with €212 and €207 per night.
