As an alternative, Lusoponte suggests using the 25 de Abril Bridge, “in compliance with the restrictions imposed on this crossing, namely for the transport of dangerous materials”, which are only allowed between 2:00am and 5:00am.

The Vasco da Gama Bridge connects the two banks of the Tagus between Lisbon and Montijo/Alcochete and the 25 de Abril Bridge connects Lisbon and Almada.
