The provisional data obtained based on the Forest Fire
Information Management System (SGIF), shows that 103,332 hectares burned, 51%
in forests, 39% in bush and 10% in agricultural area.
Since the beginning of the year, 9,100 occurrences have been
registered, according to the same numbers, published on the ICNF website.
The report indicates that, compared to the history of the
previous 10 years, until the 15th, there were 12% fewer rural fires but 30%
more burned area.
The only positive hope for Portugal is to pack those socialists and communists off to a far-away-land and sell the place to the Nordics. Then there would be real land management, real health care and education for all - and that includes civil education which the Portuguese do not have.
