Speaking in Prague, upon arrival at an informal meeting of
European Union Defense Ministers, Helena Carreiras, who in July assumed the
objective of the Government of Portugal to complete the ratification process as
quickly as possible, reiterated that accession from Finland and Sweden to NATO
should be ratified by the Assembly of the Republic very soon, after the
parliamentary holidays.
The Government's proposed resolutions on the subject –
approved by the Council of Ministers on 14 July – were submitted to the Assembly
of the Republic on 19 July.
Another poor decision! When does Portugal start to make wise decisions that take into account the fundamental interests of its people? Apparently not this time yet as it continues to follow the misguided anti-Russia Western crowd!
