In a statement sent to the Securities Market Commission (CMVM), EDP reported a positive net result of 518 million euros up to September, compared to 510 million registered in the same period last year, supported by activity outside Portugal, namely for the positive performance of renewables in Europe and networks in Brazil.

In Portugal, losses increased, reaching 181 million euros, between January and September, due to the extreme drought in the Iberian Peninsula and affects water production, which was 63% below average, and the increase in energy prices in wholesale markets.
