According to Notícias ao Minuto the price of fuel will be cheaper at the beginning of next week, so if you need to top up your tank, wait for Monday. Simple diesel is expected to drop by 2.5 cents and petrol by one cent.

On Thursday, the average price of simple diesel was €1,540/litre, while simple 95 petrol cost, on average, €1,674/litre, according to data from the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG).

This decline comes after prices increased earlier this week. Simple diesel rose by around 1.6 cents, while simple 95 petrol rose by one cent, in line with forecasts.
