In a statement sent to the press, Transavia explains that it decided to maintain its free hand luggage policy to “guarantee simplicity, comfort and transparency” to its passengers.
“We are continually committed to presenting more and more travel options at low prices and with the same quality of service. After the pandemic, we decided to keep hand luggage free for the benefit of simplicity and transparency for our customers. This gives us a competitive advantage, but also allows our customers to simply relax and enjoy their flights”, says Nicolas Hénin, Chief Commercial Officer of Transavia France.
Transavia prices are quite high when compared to easyJet or Ryanair, that's why they abandonned OPO-FNC-OPO, they couldn't compete. If they want to offer a differentiated product they obviously should allow at least a trolley.
