Aldi Portugal has opened today, March 15th, a new store in Loulé, in the Algarve, in a bid to strengthen its coverage in the South. The supermarket chain now has 19 stores in the region and is again "strengthening its team, with the "local creation of new jobs and new mobility opportunities".
"The opening day will be marked by exclusive discounts on bazaar items (some with discounts of up to 75%), and the offer of a €5 voucher to be redeemed on the next visit".
With this opening, Aldi now has 19 stores in the Algarve and "thus consolidates its presence in the south of the country, where it assumes itself as one of the most relevant players in food retail".
The group also adds that it currently has "more than 400 employees in the Algarve area" and that the "new store in Loulé allowed for the hiring of another 20 and the integration of employees from other Aldi stores into this store's new team, depending on their preferences and proximity to their zone of residence, thus providing a greater work-life balance".
Another bland store with a very limited choice and a lot of ultraprocessed foods
How sad there is little variety in Portugal
