According to information available on the ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal website, six flights were affected during the morning and another 10, scheduled for the period between 3:10 pm and 6:40 pm, were cancelled, with three being diverted.
The strong wind that is felt at Madeira Airport, in the municipality of Santa Cruz, east of the island, has already made a total of 35 flights unfeasible between Tuesday (16) and today (19).
The Madeira archipelago has been under a warning of strong wind and sea turmoil since Sunday, a situation that is expected to remain until 06:00 on Thursday.
