According to data from the Integrated Business Accounts System, published in the report “Sports in Numbers 2022”, the wages of workers in the sector rose 4.7%, to a gross monthly average of 1,366 euros, with the regular component also rising, to 1,078 euros .

The highest salaries are recorded in sports clubs (2,645 euros), with sports and recreational education at the other extreme, with a total of 848 euros.

In 2022, around 44.5 thousand people worked in the sector, an increase of 20.3%, and mostly men (64.5%), more than half under 34 years old and also above 50% in terms of education advanced, with 51% having completed higher education.
