“The basket of 63 essential food items monitored by DECO Proteste since the beginning of 2022 cost this Wednesday (May 31) 217.60 euros. This is the lowest value of the year”, according to the consumer rights association.

"This value represents a decrease of 2.49 euros (1.13% less) compared to last week's price".

Comparing this figure with the same period last year, the price of the basket rose by 11.62 euros (5.64% more). A year ago, buying exactly the same essential goods cost 205.98 euros.
