In an interview with “Table Manners” Princess Eugenie spoke openly about the dilemmas she faced growing up regarding her "appearance".

She explained the negative effects that she suffered from the constant scrutiny she was subjected to. She noted that she had to deal with several "problems", ending up becoming fixated on appearing "a certain way".

"I think everyone goes through that if they're a public figure. I think with our family, it happened at a perfect age, at 13, when you have a bowl haircut, you're a little chubby and all the boys are bullying you", she said.

Eugenie also made it known that this stopped being a problem when she came to live in Portugal, together with her husband, Jack Brooksbank, and their two sons, August and Ernest.

"That's why living in Portugal is a dream because I can go to the supermarket in gym clothes and a hair clip without caring," she jokes. “Nobody wants to know,” she adds.

In May this year, the English press revealed that the niece of King Charles III would be living in Portugal, following a luxury real estate venture by her husband between Comporta and Melides.
