The Beja Air Show, which is in its 2nd edition, takes place over two days, between 10:30 and 17:00, at Air Base No. 11, on the outskirts of the city, and is open to the public and with free entry.

According to the Air Force, the festival promises to take to the skies of Beja aerobatics carried out by the most recognised international patrols, with emphasis on the Patrouille Suisse (Switzerland), Couteau Delta (France) or Patrulla Aguila (Spain).

The program, which is the same on both days of the festival, includes aerial demonstrations of the most iconic military aircraft, such as the Mirage 2000, Gripen, Eurofighter, and F-16 planes, among others.

The Air Force's aerial assets will also be protagonists in the event, with displays of the newly arrived KC-390 aircraft in Portugal, as well as the F-16M and Falcon 50 aircraft and the AW119 Koala helicopter.

Flight baptisms in Air Force aircraft, rides in hot air balloons, and 'flying' through virtual reality glasses and simulators are other attractions.

The Beja Air Show is part of the celebrations of the Air Force's 72nd anniversary, which this year has the city of Portimão, in the Algarve, as its central stage of events.
