Super Bock Super Rock (SBSR) is returning to Herdade do Cabeço da Flauta, near Praia do Meco, in the district of Setúbal, between Thursday and Saturday, for “three days of authentic music”.

In this edition, the venue opens at 4:00 pm and the concerts are once again divided into three stages.

The Italian band Måneskin, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2021, is headlining the first day, Thursday, and, according to promoter Luís Montez, from Música do Coração, was one of the names most requested by the public for the festival.

Participants on the Italian “X Factor” program, they released their first album, “Il Ballo della Vita”, in 2018, and the most recent, “Rush!”, last year.

Nominated for Grammy, BRIT, NME, and Kerrang awards, they acquired a global dimension with the album “Teatro d'Ira, Vol. 1” and with their victory in the Eurovision Song Contest, with the song “Zitti e Buoni”.

The band's most recent album, “Rush”, was released at the beginning of last year.

On Thursday, in addition to Måneskin, Alice Merton, Tom Morello, Royal Blood, and DJ Nina Kraviz will also perform on the main stage of the festival.

The other two stages will host performances by Captain Fausto, ex-Arcade Fire Will Butler with the band Sister Squares, Marc Rebillet, New Max, Anna Prior, and Victoria.

The second day of the 28th SBSR, Friday is marked by the debut on national stages of 21 Savage, another of the most requested names by the public, who will be at the festival as part of the tour to present “American Dream”, an album released at the beginning of this year and which is the soundtrack for a film about the life of the 'rapper', who was born in the United Kingdom and emigrated to the United States at the age of seven.

In “American Dream: The 21 Savage Story”, musician and actor Donald Glover and Caleb McLaughlin, one of the kids from the series “Stranger Things”, play 21 Savage.

On the main stage, on Friday, Mahalia, Slow J, and DJ Black Coffee will also perform.

The lineup for the second day of the festival also includes performances by Kenny Mason, Mabel, Aminé, Gryffin, Yen Sung, and Chromeo, in a DJ set format.

British rapper Stormzy is the headliner on the last day, Saturday, but the highlight is the return of Portuguese band Mind Da Gap.

The trio Ace, Presto, and Serial, one of the references of Portuguese rap, come together live again after ten years without taking the stage, for a concert that should be unique and will feature some guests.

On Saturday, the SBSR main stage also hosts Vulfpeck and DJ Fisher.

Hause Plants, Anna Calvi, D4VD, Kneecap, Diana Oliveira and Partiboi69 perform on the other two stages.

Transport

To get to the festival, the organisation recommends using public transport.

“The idea is to go by train to Coina and then there is a bus that stops at the door”, recalled Luís Montez, remembering that the train journey is included in the areas covered by the Navegante pass.

Furthermore, at the entrance to the venue, which has a capacity for 25 thousand people, there is a TVDE point and “an incredible parking area, a remarkable work by Sesimbra City Council, which will be lit and with ushers”.

“To mitigate traffic jams at the exit, after the headliners, we always have a DJ on the main stage”, highlighted the promoter.

Next to the enclosure, there is a camping area, free for three-day pass holders, which opens at 10:00 on Thursday and closes at 5:00 on Sunday.

“Those who didn’t buy a pass and don’t want to go home [after the concerts] can buy a night at the campsite,” said Luís Montez.

Between Thursday and Saturday, the organization has free buses to Meco beach, between 10:00 and 19:00.
