On its website, the Lisbon public transport company warned of "possible disruptions".
"Carris informs that, following advance notice of strike by Trade Union Associations representing the Company's Workers, there may be some disruptions to the regular transport service on 18 September 2024", it reads.
The protest action was called by the Federation of Transport and Communications Trade Unions (Fectrans) and the Union of Road and Urban Transport Workers of Portugal.
The strike ends at 10pm today.
This strike is not being supported by other Carris unions, namely the National Union of Drivers and Other Workers (SNMOT), Sitra - Transport Workers' Union, and Sitese - Service Sector Workers' Union.
Hi PortugalNews. Here's my feedback: you should clarify if this strike is only for Carris(jelly bus) or Carris metropolitana. This article is about Carris but the photo shows Carris Metropolitana, they are 2 different services.
