“On the 3rd and 10th of December, the transport service is expected to start from 10:30 am,” said Metropolitano de Lisboa, in a statement.

Normally, the service runs between 06:30 and 01:00 on the four lines: Yellow (Rato-Odivelas), Green (Telheiras-Cais do Sodré), Blue (Reboleira-Santa Apolónia) and Red (Airport-São Sebastião).

“Throughout the period up to the date of the strikes, Metropolitano de Lisboa will continue to promote dialogue with the unions with a view to reaching an understanding that allows the suspension of the aforementioned strikes”, guaranteed the carrier.

Workers demand from Metropolitano de Lisboa payments for variable calls, that is, overtime and holidays, and compliance with the Company Agreement.

On November 6th and 14th, two partial strikes were also implemented, which had around 90% participation, according to the Federation of Transport and Communications Unions (Fectrans), and which led to all stations not opening until mid-morning.

This week, unions admitted that partial strikes could be suspended if they receive a positive response from the board of directors to their demands.
