Traffic on the 25 de Abril Bridge now been re-established

In statements to Lusa, Artur Serafim said that traffic was reopened at 1:27 pm in both directions, although in the north-south direction (Lisbon-Almada) it is only possible to drive in the left lane.

The intervention of the PSP to close traffic on the bridge in both directions, between Lisbon and Almada (Setúbal district), was requested by the Judicial Police.

According to a source from the PJ contacted by Lusa, the operation involved the pursuit and arrest of at least one man who was travelling in a vehicle.

The source also indicated that the arrest occurred after the man abandoned the vehicle.
