According to the analysis, shared on the association's website for consumers, the set of 63 monitored goods fell by around 0.13%, or 30 cents.

"If we compare it to the beginning of 2024, on January 3 this basket of essential goods cost almost 9 euros more. In other words, the basket has fallen by 3.71 percent since the first days of the year", the experts also write.

The period analysed was from September 11 to 18.
