Conan O’Brien will host the 97th Academy Awards in 2025, marking his Oscars debut after previously hosting the Emmys in 2002 and 2006.

Academy leaders praised his as the “perfect” choice for his wit, charisma, and love of film, O’Brien brings his live TV expertise to the prestigious event.
The 97th Academy Awards will take place on Sunday, March 2, 2025, live from the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood at 7pm EST/4pm PT on ABC, and will be broadcast in over 200 territories worldwide.
