This investment, which cost around €128,000, had the objective of making the place more environmentally and economically sustainable, without compromising its visual attractiveness.
The requalification involved the replacement of 27 trees that were in bad condition, as well as the existing lawn, and the planting of 70 new trees and various shrubs and herbaceous species, better adapted to the Algarve climate.
The improvements implemented in this green space will contribute to the more efficient management of water resources, thus meeting the climate action policy of the Municipality of Loulé. “This is a project aligned with the municipal plan related to the efficient use of resources and integrated management of public space, contributing to the commitment of the Municipality of Loulé in responding to Climate Change”, underlines the Mayor, Vítor Aleixo.
