The new Yotel, which will be part of the World Trade Center (WTC), a business centre that is being created in Carnaxide, Oeiras, which is promoted by the FVC Group.
Yotel will join other companies that will move to the WTC, including Worten, Bayer and Continente. The hotel will have a restaurant, an event space and a panoramic bar on the roof.
“The hotel will be the ideal accommodation for people visiting and working at the WTC or at one of the other nine business parks located within a three kilometre radius,” says the brand.
World Trade Center Lisbon
A few minutes from the centre of Lisbon, a short distance from the beaches of Cascais and in the area next to Monsanto, the WTC covers a total area of more than 35,000 square metres (m2) and will include, in addition to the hotel, an office area, commercial zone and recreational spaces. WTC Lisbon, is part of the World Trade Center network, the world's largest business and investment platform, covering 322 cities in 90 countries.
“Lisbon has always been a priority for Yotel's expansion, particularly after the opening of Yotel Porto last year,” said Rohan Thakkar, Yotel's head of development. “Yotel Lisboa WTC will promote our expansion strategy across Southern Europe, both in Portugal and in nearby markets such as Spain and France”, he added.
“Yotel complements the WTC space, offering a concept perfectly aligned with our vision, which gives priority, above all, to innovation and technology, sustainability and people's well-being. Yotel's spaces are designed to create a unique experience for each stay, capable of involving and connecting with guests. Its auditorium will also serve as a stage for major events, in particular, to receive the schedule that we foresee for the WTC Business Club, which aims to be a space of choice for business networking, nationally and internationally”, said Vasco Fonseca, COO of the FVC Group.
Such an ugly, monstrous building. With so many other beautiful, elegant hotels being built/built around the world, Lisbon has to build another outdated, monstrosity. Not an architect in sight apparently.
