According to Jornal Económico, this monthly allowance should be freely agreed between workers and companies, but respecting a limit of 50 euros. The aim is that this amount can help cover expenses related to teleworking, such as electricity and Internet costs.

Companies will be able to count this amount as a cost, without the need to present invoices and employees should not be taxed with IRS, as with the lunch allowance.
