Before arriving at MotoGP, Miguel Oliveira became runner-up in the Moto3 world, in 2015, and Moto2, in 2018, in both cases in KTM, behind the English Danny Kent and the Italian Francesco Bagnaia.

RNF Racing is a Malaysian team, which started in the MotoGP world championships in 2022, together with Yamaha, and starts in 2023 under an agreement with Aprilia.

At KTM, Miguel Oliveira will be replaced by Australian Jack Miller, who joins South African Brad Binder in the team.
