According to the Daily Mail, three of the names in the pipeline to replace the Italian are Portuguese. In addition to the old interest in Rúben Amorim, Sérgio Conceição (FC Porto) and Marco Silva (Fulham) are also rumoured to be in the mix.
But the list does not end there. Julian Nagelsmann, recently fired from Bayern Munich, is one of the main targets for next season, although this implies the payment of an amount to the Bavarians, according to a clause stipulated between both parties.
The list also includes the names of Mauricio Pochettino – who guided Spurs between 2014 and 2020 –, Luis Enrique, Thomas Frank, Steve Cooper, Roberto De Zerbi and Oliver Glasner.
Why would anyone want that job? Daniel Levy has gone through more managers than McDonalds goes through french fries. Antonio Conte was the right man for the job but he needed to change the culture at the club and Levy is the obstacle. Even Sir Alex Furgeson wouldn't last long there.
