The IPMA also put more than 60 municipalities in the districts of Bragança, Vila Real, Viseu, Guarda, Castelo Branco, Portalegre, Leiria, Santarém, Beja and Faro at high risk of fire.
The fire hazard, determined by the IPMA, has five levels, ranging from reduced to maximum. Calculations are obtained from air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and amount of precipitation in the last 24 hours.
For today, the IPMA predicts a small increase in temperature, especially on the west coast, and a sharp night cooling.
The possibility of periods of light rain or drizzle is also foreseen on the coast north of Cabo Carvoeiro, being more likely in Minho.
The minimum temperatures will vary between 6 degrees Celsius (Bragança) and 14ºC (Faro) and the maximum between 16ºC (Viana do Castelo) and 28ºC (Faro).
