This impressive white restaurant is situated on the edge of a small secluded bay with white sands, picturesque rocks and beautiful views and can trace its history back to humble beginnings in the mid-1980s.

Tables were set out with the traditional olives, bread and tuna paste and the meal started with delicious clams and squid prepared in Evoristo style with a choice of white, red and rose wine and water as an accompaniment. Grilled tiger prawns served with rice followed.

Renowned over the years for fresh fish from the grill and in keeping with Evoristo tradition Chef Jorge Gonçalves and his team had prepared, as catch of the day, a large grouper on the grill. This was the main course served with garlicky boiled potatoes and mixed salads.

The meal was completed with dishes of Evoristo desert selection, fresh fruits, delicious local sweets and ice cream. Coffee or teas as wished brought the lunch to a close. Marie-Anne Ferran, Bailli de l’Algarve thanked both the kitchen and front of house teams and presented the restaurant with a memento of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs’s lunchtime visit to this beautiful place.
