According to the statement, the organisations representing ML workers will hold a general plenary session at the Carnide Complex Workshops from 10:00 to 11:00 and, for night services, between 23:30 and 00:30 (night from Monday to Tuesday).
“Any inconvenience caused by the holding of this plenary, or any decision emanating from it, in the mobility of citizens in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area is not the responsibility of ML workers, but rather the lack of negotiation imposed by this Board of Directors”, says the note.
The trade union organisations criticise “the attitude that the company's Board of Directors has taken throughout several negotiations that are intended to be effective, assertive and consequential, thus meeting the known concepts of true collective bargaining”.
According to the note, the public transport company “has done nothing to seek an understanding between the parties”.
The Lisbon Metropolitan operates daily with four lines: Yellow (Rato-Odivelas), Green (Telheiras-Cais do Sodré), Blue (Reboleira-Santa Apolónia) and Red (Airport-São Sebastião).
Normally, the service operates between 06:30 and 01:00.
